Activities
INDULGE
Relax on your own deserted beach in the shade of the palm trees, taking a cooling dip in the blue ocean or your own refreshing swimming pool.
Our massage sessions are set in our Spa Pavilion at the back of the villa. A Balinese massage is a full-body, deep-tissue massage that combines gentle stretching, acupressure, reflexology, and aromatherapy to stimulate blood flow and energy. The massage is both relaxing and intensely therapeutic, targeting muscle tension while promoting a sense of calm.
Our yoga sessions combine gentle movements and breath work with the calming, natural environment of the coast. The term "soft" emphasises a gentle, low-impact approach, focusing on mindful breathing, stretching, and a connection with nature rather than strenuous poses or intense workouts. This type of yoga is accessible to many levels and is designed to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and improve well-being by using the unique benefits of the beach setting. You may discuss with our Yoga instruction for a more personalised experience if required.
Volleyball is a daily tradition at The Anandita. The grass volleyball field sits under the shade of the tall palm trees, and members of staff will happily join to boost numbers if needed.
Set by the beach or the pool, our artists will treat you to a memorable performance of jazz/soul/pop music with electronic keyboard, bass, and singer.
Set by the beach, on the lawn under the coconut trees and the skylight, by the pool deck (or inside the dining room if it rains), the Anandita Signature BBQ event will provide your party of family and friends an unforgettable culinary and musical experience. Our chef will be delighted to prepare his famous Lobster Thermidor or Crèpes Suzette, complete with a spectacular fire display.
The Anandita bar tenders will prepare a variety of drinks, including healthy vitamin boosters, detox drinks, and metabolism enhancers.
Watch your favourite movie under the stars while a gentle wind relaxes you. Watching a movie outdoors is magical. With the stars twinkling above you, and the glow of the screen blending with the ambiance, you will share laughter, cozy blankets, and the rustle of nature creating an unforgettable experience, turning a simple film into a cherished memory.
Dining outdoors at the Anandita is a feast for the senses. With the warm breezes, the golden sunlight, and the gentle hum of nature as your backdrop, every bite tastes better, every conversation feels lighter, and the world slows down just enough for you to savour the moment with your family and friends.
Walking along the Anandita beach at sunset is like stepping into a living painting. The sky blazes with gold, pink, and violet, while the waves seem to whisper secrets to the shore. You may some days see the distant silhouettes of Bali Mount Agung and then even some of the Javanese volcanoes further west. At sunset, locals and fishermen also walk the shore with petrol lights in search of squids. Time seems to freeze.
SPORTS & ADVENTURE
Around 200 metres from the shore, lies a beautiful and rich coral reef, home to orange and blue giant starfish, trumpetfish and an array of white, blue and red corals. One can swim or paddle out to the reef by kayak. The villa is equipped with snorkelling gear in a range of sizes for adults and children, as well as life jackets.
Five kayaks (for up to 11 rowers) are available. This is a great way to get to the nearby reef or explore the coast and secluded beaches around the bay.
The Anandita villa manager can help you charter boats and take you island hopping around the Gilis for half or full day trips. The three, coral-fringed Gili islands - Trawangan, Meno and Air, just off the Sira peninsula offer a truly laid-back island experience. We will also be glad to prepare picnics for your trip, or book you into a restaurant for a meal on the islands.
Snorkelling tours of the reefs around the Gilis are also available upon request. These tours can take you to all or any of these three magical islands, where you can swim in crystal-clear waters amongst the two species of sea turtles that breed in the area.
A number of PADI approved dive schools are just a short boat ride away and our manager can arrange for the school of your choice to pick you up for diving classes and drop you back on the beach of the villa. We can also arrange for your first lessons to be taken in the comfort of the Anandita pool. The diving schools cater to all levels, from beginners to advanced divers.
Tuna, Spanish mackerel and barracuda abound in these warm tropical waters, making great fresh sashimi or barbecue feasts.
Pump up the adrenaline with some wakeboarding or waterskiing from a speed boat around the bay.
Play a round of golf at the Sire Beach Golf Club – a serene 18-hole championship course on Sira Bay with dramatic views of Mount Rinjani. The golf is literally adjacent to the Anandita domain.
